Cassiday‘s bases loaded walk propels Gwinnett Hammerheads 16U past Georgia Jayhawks, 5-3
Gwinnett Hammerheads 16U jumped on Georgia Jayhawks early on its way to a 5-3 win on Saturday at Sprayberry HS in six innings, scoring four runs in the first inning.
Gwinnett Hammerheads 16U would not relinquish the lead as Georgia Jayhawks was unable to weather a five-run third inning deficit.
Georgia Jayhawks scored three runs in the sixth on an error, a groundout byDiSanto, and a wild pitch. Still, Georgia Jayhawks couldn’t draw even.
Kevin Coulter recorded the win for Gwinnett Hammerheads 16U. He pitched five shutout innings. Coulter struck out six, walked three and gave up two hits.
